Our Krewe Angels remind us why we serve. Every fundraiser, adoption event, educational program, and act of compassion helps create a better future for animals in our community continuing the legacy of the pets who inspired us.
Ivy was an amazing English Mastiff that was born and raised by the Cason family. Ivy was the sweetest girl who loved everyone and brought joy to everyone she met.
Bella was a 14yr old Chocolate Lab who we were blessed to get through a personal friend. Her greatest joy in life was anything water related or anyone who would play fetch with her. Although a true Daddy's girl, her sweet personality was a ray of sunshine to all that met her!
Socks was a rescue from a litter or kittens that were born in our neighborhood. She was the last kitten to be adopted but she stole our hearts. She was a funny girl that loved to hang out with her mom. She was always curled up close by if she wasn't in your lap. She was a bit shy around most people but totally devoted to her family. Always the little helper, Socks was a cherished member of the family.
Retired K-9 Samos faithfully served the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office from 2018 until his medical retirement in 2024, assisting with narcotics seizures and the apprehension of dangerous suspects. He spent his retirement with his former handler and his family, where he was deeply loved as more than a K-9 partner. Samos’s courage, loyalty, and dedication will never be forgotten—rest easy, hero; your watch is over.
Steele was rescued when he was 7 months old. He was a sweet, handsome boy that loved pets and attention. Even as neurological problems made him blind and unable to walk well he still loved being close to you.
Savannah was a 12 yr old Lab/Catahoula mix. She was rescued out of a ditch when she was just weeks old. Her love of every one she met was undeniably her greatest gift that still resonates to this day!
Cajun was adopted on Veterans Day 2017, and the following spring, he was a proud Prince of the Krewe of Barkus and Meoux. He went from being slated for euthanasia because he was 'dangerous' to leading the entire pet parade that year at Reeve's Marine.
Rudy found us via Caddo Parish Animal Shelter during the pandemic. He was a VICIOUS MENACE at first. After some tlc and patience we had a great six year run. He was our buddy and is very missed.
Karl was always so great with every dog I brought into my home under K Krewe Animal Rescue . It’s like he knew that they needed him and he never ever shied away from giving them all love they needed and showed them that all was going to be okay at mom’s house.
Cammy was found on I-10 just outside of New Orleans when she was run over by an 18-wheeler. She was rushed to an Emergency vet (Camelot) and stabilized with outer injuries but luckily no internal injuries. She was featured on the Animal Network show - Emergency Vets. She lived with her mom for 18 years and was the center of the universe. Our little miracle kitty.
Angel was my soulmate. Always there for me. She loved children the most and always wanted to be close to them and give them kisses. A huge piece of my heart left with her.
