Celebrate the pets that make our community so special at our Pet Royalty Reveal! This fun and meaningful experience supports local animal rescues while giving your pet a chance to shine 👑

Whether your pet is playful, sassy, cuddly, or full of personality, we want them to join the fun!

🐾 HOW IT WORKS 🐾

Step 1: Submit an Application

Complete the application to enter your pet into the Pet Royalty contest
Only 1 pet per household

Step 2: Share Your Link

Once approved, you’ll receive a personalized voting link to share with friends and family

Step 3: Collect Votes

Each vote is $1, and every dollar supports local animal rescues

👑 PET ROYALTY DETAILS 👑

If selected as Pet Royalty

Winners must attend the Pet Royalty Reveal Event
- A $55 participation fee is required and includes:
  - Pet royalty photos
  - One dozen Krewe polystone beads
  - An embroidered bandana
Pet owners must have an active Krewe of Barkus and Meoux membership
Your pet will be recognized as official Krewe Pet Royalty from May 2026 to May 2027
Pet Royalty participants are expected to attend scheduled community events and appearances throughout their term

COMMUNITY EVENTS

PET PARADE- JANUARY 31, 2027 at Louisiana Downs
PAWS & CLAWS MUDBUGS HOCKEY GAME - usually in February at the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum
PET PALOOZA - OCTOBER 24, 2026, at the Louisiana Boardwalk
ANY OTHER SCHEDULED EVENTS - These will be communicated in advance as far as possible.

ONE (1) VISIT PER QUARTER (Every three (3) months)
